The Nike More Uptempo was brought back to life in 2016. Scottie Pippen’s iconic ’90s shoe was released in several colorways and sneakerheads all over were excited. My personal favorite was the Olympic Uptempo.
The Uptempo isn’t going away in 2017. It was actually only just getting started in 2016. Nike and Supreme have announced an upcoming collaboration on the shoe. Hypebeasts everywhere are- well, hyped.
The first images of the collab to surface were of a blacked out pair. Obviously, the iconic AIR lettering has been redone to spell out SUPREME.
Last night during the NBA Dunk contest, participant Derrick Jones Jr. was rocking another pair of the collab. Sporting an all gold upper & a white sole, this pair is for the flashy.
The most recent pair to surface will for sure have the hypebeasts hitting up their plug begging for a pair. Embracing Supreme’s signature look, Pippen’s silhouette is draped in Supreme red with the lettering done in white. This is the one. This is the one people are gunna need the most. These will be highly coveted. And they ain’t gunna be cheap. These will sell out in a couple of minutes or less. A rumored 4th pair in navy blue has yet to be seen.
